BIOMASS
SAWDUST - WOOD CHIPS - BARK

FROM WOOD RESIDUES AN IMPORTANT
SOURCE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY

Biomass is made up of the waste from the wood processing of our sawmill, it is divided into wood chips, sawdust and bark. Wood chips and sawdust are used for energy purposes, in particular wood chips in district heating plants, and sawdust is pelletized and then used in domestic stoves. This wood waste is a valid alternative fuel to fossil fuels, as it is an extraordinary source of energy that is constantly renewed through the growth of trees.

Zero CO2 emissions
The combustion of wood can be considered "CO2 neutral", since the carbon dioxide released during combustion is equal to that fixed by the plant during growth, this through the process of photosynthesis. This closes the carbon cycle, without additional emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

SEALING and PELTING

Sawdust is the main form of sawdust from the processing in the sawmill, which, free of any impurities and treatments, is suitable for the production of natural, high-yield pellets.
The compressed sawdust, without the addition of additives or chemicals, forms small cylinders of about 6/8 mm and is a combustible high-performance natural fuel. Thanks to the pressing, the calorific value of the pallet, for the same volume, is about twice as high as that of wood.

WOOD CHIPS

Wood chips are made up of wood shavings resulting from the processing of logs. Our sawmill plants are equipped with "vibrating channels" which collect the processing waste and transport it to the chipper, which shreds the wood and transforms it into wood chips.
This product of ours is now highly appreciated as a valuable fuel, extremely economical and being completely renewable wood. As a processing residue from virgin wood, it stands out for its quality and is free from any impurities and bark residue.
With this excellent fuel we supply the large district heating plants which are many in our area, but also smaller plants for hotels and private use.

BARK

The completely ecological and impurity-free bark can be used as a covering material in the garden (mulch), to protect the soil from extreme weather conditions and maintain constant humidity, thus allowing the settlement of many microorganisms. It maintains and promotes soil friability and this also has a positive effect on soil fertility.
